"I had a 90 minute, divine hot stone massage to assist the release of tension in my body, but mainly the lower back. The mood of low lighting, soothing music and gentle fragrance helped me feel comfortable and at ease. His professionalism from the start was shown with Ernie's explanation of the process and aim of the treatment. He requested feedback on temperature, pressure and comfort to ensure a high quality experience. My back felt stronger and straighter afterwards. If I was a cat, I would have been purring. "After damaging my achilles in late 2017, I was recommended to see Ernie by the running coach at my club. To be honest I didn't hold out much hope for getting it sorted as I have a long history of running injuries. We started off with weekly exercises and a massage. He also made sure to explain the causes of injury and gave me weekly stretches to do at home. He made sure to equip me with the knowledge I needed to prevent future issues. Eventually we started training together. Very slow, short distances at first, eventually building up to ten mile runs. I continued training runs with Ernie for quite a while as he's good company and I felt better running with him. I then had about nine great months of running with my club before I was struck down with Plantar fasciitis. I have since been seeing Ernie to get a deep muscle massage on my calves which feels fantastic and helps reduce the pain. Ernie puts a lot of time and energy into his client's wellbeing. Both him and his wife Debbie are seasoned ultra runners and have a lot of knowledge and experience with running injuries. I can thoroughly recommend him."

"I wanted to give you some feedback on my massage and I would not mind at all if you want to use this as a reference.  I loved my 90 minutes on Friday and time flew by, nothing at all was painful but strong enough to enjoy.  I could not wait to book another session, I was 100% happier than I can remember feeling for a long while. I had not realised I was not feeling happy and relaxed until I actually had that feeling again. I am in a very stressful job and I think although I do lots of exercise, I do nothing to relax myself. I do think you are extremely talented and in addition you really love what you do which is very refreshing.  I cannot recommend you enough."

"Today is a momentous day. In May 1996 I ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in my left knee, ending my involvement in impact sports for the rest of my life - that's what I thought and that's what the operating surgeon said at the time. It's weighed on my mind ever since. On January 24th 2015 I met an Aussie PT who said "I will have you running inside two months". Well, today is March 21st and today I RAN!!! Ten 30 second bursts, with 60 second rest periods between each, covering 1.25miles. I cannot tell you what it means to me to finally banish that demon, but let's just say "AMAZING" and it's a start... Massive thanks and respect to Ernie Jewson of Wombat Fitness, who has such belief in my ability."

Very committed and varies the workout sessions from studio based to gentle jog along the seafront. I've found Wombat Fitness to be very aware of my personal abilities and achievable challenges. I started training with a long term goal of completing a 100km trek across the Sahara, not only did Ernie give me the fitness to achieve my goal, he also gave me nutritional advice, safety information and wilderness training! "Ernie's fire lighting course using a bow drill was a unique and rewarding experience. Ernie carefully explains and demonstrates each step of fire lighting. I found him to be very patient and helpful in understanding each step, especially the technique in using the bow. Ultimately you end up making a fire (providing all goes well) with Ernie providing suggestions along the way. Lighting a fire in this manner gives you a real sense of achievement and a heightened appreciation of ancient fire lighting skills."

"I am 66 years old and I was between the ages of 40-50 when Ernie introduced me to wilderness trekking. Having no knowledge of the bush and what it holds it was a new experience that has stayed with me ever since. Camping overnight in the snow on the summit of Mt Bogong 6000ft on my first trek was an experience I have never forgotten. With Ernie’s knowledge of bushcraft and  survival techniques he is the complete professional in every detail. Having completed these treks made me look at life in a completely new way, giving me confidence in what I had completed, the confidence that you are able to do whatever you want.  In 1993 Ernie planned a 12 day trek/fishing (Ernie is an excellent trout fisherman) through central Tasmania which involved gruelling 8 hours a day trekking because of snow. Without Ernie’s expertise we would not have completed such a wonderful and unforgettable experience. Now having a partner in Deb they have both found their love for ultra running.  With their inspiration in keeping healthy in mind and body they started Wombat Fitness. I have no hesitation in recommending anyone to their world of fitness and health."
